What a fun morning!

Well I posted earlier this morning about all the storms we are having. Well not long after that the girls and I found ourselves in a yucky, wet, storm cellar. There was a tornado in a town close to us and the wind was really starting to pick up here. So I grabbed the bag i made up of candles, blankets, and food ect.... and I threw it into the cellar with a chair to sit on. At this point it starts hailing so I run and grab the girls and throw blankets on thier heads. We were soaked by the time we got in the cellar. I got them situated and then lit a candle. After that I got the door shut. The thing weighed a ton! The girls were crying at this point, but the calmed down after I got the door shut. After a few min it started to calm down outside. I was a little freaked out though because the landlord told us he thinks there is a snake that lives in the cellar. I never saw it thank goodness. Constance sat in the chair the whole time telling me the thunder was coming and I stood holding Ivy. I was standing in about an inch of water and it was soaking through my shoes! After about 20 min I called my mom and she said it had pretty much passed over us so I decided to get us back in the house. We were so wet! At least it wasnt really cold outside on top of that. There are supposed to be more storms this afternoon but hopefully we wont have to go back out there. EVER!

Stormy day!

We have lots of storms moving through the area today. Its thundering alot right now and Constance keeps saying "Mommy the thunder is coming!" lol. She is holding her baby doll because she says the baby is scared. I thought that was too cute. Apparently there is a chance for tornadoes today. I really hope not. But just in case I made us up a grab bag in case we have to make a dash for the cellar. My mom asked me last night if I could open the cellar door. I said if I am faced with a tornado coming at my children Im sure there are lots of things I could do that I never thought I could! But hopefully this one passes as just a thunderstorm. Ok well lightning struck pretty close to the house just now so I think I will turn my computer off! Have a nice day everyone!

Lazy Saturday!

We arent really doing much today. This morning we went to walmart to get a few things but that was pretty much it. The girls are sleeping right now and I just did a scrapbook page. Next weekend is our vote women scrap day so I am pretty excited to have a whole day of scrapbooking! The girls are going to stay here with Rachel(who the absolutely love!) So that should be fun for them.

Yesterday I took Ivy to the doctor to make sure her ear infection was gone. It was but she got a yeast infection from the antibiotic. So we got some cream to take care of that. It is already clearing up quite a bit. I feel so sorry for her. Ive never had one so I dont even know what it feels like. Looks uncomfortable though.

I have decided to get Constance enrolled in pre school for next fall. I cant believe it has come to that time already! Registration is next month and I think they do a screening as well. I will have to call on Monday and find out all the details. I told her she was going to preschool and she kept asking if Sissy was going too! I know she will miss her while she is gone, but she will have lots of fun. She is such a social butterfly Im sure she will make lots of little friends fast.

Thats pretty much all from our end. Not much else going on at the moment. Just counting down the days til David gets home. My count down in the corner there is wrong. I really should change it, but maybe another day. lol. Anyways there is only 47 days til the day they told him he would be home. It may be a week or so before or after that date though. We will see!

dentist

Well I went to the dentist today. I have gone a few times since I have been in Missouri. I have had bad teeth since the day they came in! Its a curse! Anyways I am taking the time while David is gone to get them all fixed. We are almost done. Im glad. Its been a long road so far. Today I got a temporary crown today on one tooth and preped to have a permanent one made. Doesnt sound like much but the things they did to me hurt!! I used to be scared to death to go to the dentist but I have gotten over that fear now. I figure if I want healthy teeth I need to get over it and im glad I did!

Well in about three hours David is going to the promotion board. I know he will do well. I think he is a little stressed about it and everything else that is going on over there, so I know he will be glad to have this over with. He should call me in the next hour or so. Its always nice to get that call before I go to bed.

I am putting a scrapbook page I did on here. I did it a couple of nights ago and Im pretty happy with how it turned out. The picture is a little dark, Im not sure why though. Oh well.

Here are the pictures from our Easter Egg hunt today at our house. We had a lot of family and friends here. Lots of fun and the girls loved finding thier eggs. They were so cute today!

Curly Hair!

Constance and I tried our hand at curling her hair this afternoon. I wanted to see if it would hold for tomorrow. Its so pretty on her. She has such great hair! Here are some pics!

First of all I want to say thank you to everyone who commented on my last blog. Its a hard thing for us to go through this deployment, but knowing we have such great friends and family standing behind us is wonderful.



Second, David had some great news earlier today. He will be home in may now not june. So we get to see him a whole month earlier! You should have seen me when I found out. I was so excited. I grabbed his picture off the wall and was trying to get Ivy to say dada! lol. Didnt work but she was giving him lots of kisses. I cant wait for the day we go pick him up from the air port. Its like all the months here in missouri have been leading up to the moment I get to see his face again. So needless to say I am very excited. It is less than two months away and I already can hardly contain myself! I will probably end up driving myself nuts before may even gets here! lol



I have attatched some cute pics of the girls at bath time tonight. They love taking baths! As soon as we get done eating dinner they both run in there ready to get in! Have a good night everyone!

Cant Sleep

I havent heard from David today. He told me last night he would call this morning and he didnt and then he usually always calls every night at ten and he didnt call again. This usually means that someone has been killed and they have turned off all communications til the families are notified. Knowing that I am always on edge when I dont hear from him. I cant sleep and I cant concentrate on anything but him calling. Its like I cant breathe until I hear his voice again. Hopefully he will call tomorrow or at least I will get an e-mail from the family readiness leader confirming something has happened so I know he will at least call soon. I hate getting those e-mails. I always hold my breath hoping its not someone that we know and are close to. Its hard knowing that all these men are dying and...... ok he just called, I can breath again but he had bad news. A guy he worked with was killed. The sad part is that David was the one who was trying to save him and he died. I hate that David has to see these things all the time. This has not been a good deployment compared to the last. He only saw one really bad thing last time that I know of, and this time it just seems so much worse. I could not hold it in on the phone. I cried for this soldiers wife and what she must be going through right now. I think I have met him before, but Im not 100% sure. Well I think I should try to get some sleep now. I was supossed to go to a funeral tomorrow. Not someone I personally knew so I dont know if I am going to go or not. I dont know if I am ready emotionally to go to a funeral right now. I may just spend the day with my grandparents and my girls instead. I will decide in the morning. Well goodnight to all of you! Sorry for all the emotional stuff tonight. I just need to get it out sometimes and this blog really seems to help with that.

rainy days!

It has been raining so much here. It finally stopped but now we have flooding in the area, so the girls and I are staying home til it gets better. Tomorrow I am hoping to get out. There is a funeral of a lady from church I would like to go to. I will leave the girls with thier great grandma. If I can get out I will take them over there for the afternoon. If not we stay home again!

I want to say Happy Birthday to my friend Amy!!! She is 23 today! We have known each other for such a long time now. I wish we could see more of each other now, but as both of our husbands are in the military it makes it hard to get together. Anyways Happy birthday Amy I hope you and Jack have a great day!

well we are back from a long day at the circus. Constance and I are both tired, but it was a lot of fun and we learned she loves clowns! I really thought she would be scared of them. Im so happy that I got the chance to take her to do something like this. I love watching her have fun and do something new. Its so cute. Ivy stayed home with Grandma Ronda today. She has an ear infection so I didnt think she would want to sit there and watch it. Here are some fun pics from our day!

Feeling creative!

I was feeling very creative tonight. I got this flower kit thing in the mail today so I decided to do that and I also got a scrapbook page in as well. I got the flower kit from a scrapbook magazine I got in the mail. I thought it would be fun to change things up and do something else creative and I really like how it turned out. The example they had of it was in bright colors which was very cute but I decided to do americana and Im glad I did. I think I am going to get two more to put in the girls rooms. they would make great gifts too. I will have to keep that in mind! The scrap page I did was of when I was pregnant with constance. Im trying to catch up. I got a little behind. But most of her baby pics are done, I just found these pics today when I was organizing so I thought I would do them.



I forgot to put Ivys stats in here yesterday after her appt so here they are for anyone who is interested. She is 31.5 inches long. 95% and 24 pounds. I think that was 95% as well or close to it. She is going to be tall like her daddy! I weighed and measured Constance as well. She is 32 pounds and 38 inches long. They are getting so big!



I will post pics from the circus tomorrow. I put a pic of the girls on here tonight that I thought turned out really good.

We are back from Ivys appt. She had four shots today :( Poor baby. She didnt cry for very long though so thats good. We also found out that she is starting to get an ear infection. So I think Sunday she is going to stay home with Grandma Ronda and I am going to take Constance to the circus. She is so excited about it. I think she will have a lot of fun watching everything. I cant wait to take pictures and then scrapbook it!! Here are a few pics of the girls I have taken lately. Thought you would all like to see them.

New Hair!

Ok here are pictures of my new hair cut. It is taking some time to get used to. I got so much cut off I feel like part of me is missing! Ivy has a doctor appt today. For her 15 month check up. She has to get two shots as well. Not fun! But they will be the last til she starts school. I am interested to see how much she has grown in the last three months. I will write another post tonight and let everyone know how she did!

Back online again!

Ok so I am back online again. I have been having some major problems just getting our internet to work! Very frustrating. I ended up getting rid of the dial up and switching to sat. internet. Its nice. Very fast.

So anyways the only new news I really have is that I got my hair cut and highlighted yesterday. I got 10 inches cut off!!! I just needed a change. I really like it. I am going to post some pics on here this afternoon when the girls are napping. Sunday we are taking the girls to the circus. Last time I went to the circus was with Amy and her dad. Wow what memories!! She knows what I am talking about! lol Anyways Constance is very excited about it. She wants to see the lions and elephants and clown cars she says. lol. She is getting so big! I cant believe she is going to be 3 soon! that just seems crazy to me. They really do grow up so fast.
