Ivy Jewel

Ivy saying cheese when I took her pic! She is such a goofy baby!

Miss Ivy is getting so big. She learned how to say 4 new things this week alone! She learned "mooooo" for a cow, "cheese" for when Im taking her picture, "dont want it" and, "its down there". She is also learning her body parts. So far she knows her belly, nose, eyes, feet and hands. She is getting to that point where she wants to learn everything. I loved watching Constance start that stage and cant wait to see all the new things Ivy will start doing as well.

Tomorrow I take Constance to the hospital for her pre-op appt. Im not totally sure what all they will do. Take her vitals, maybe blood. Im not sure about the blood part. And alot of paperwork for me Im sure. Wednesday is the big day. She just knows she is going to the dr. to get her tongue fixed. She has been fixing mine all week! lol I will take pics the day she has it done. My mom and cousin Rachel are going as well. Im nervous about it all, but Im sure it will go fine.

Yellow Ribbon Tutu's

Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen?? My FRG(family readiness group) leader sent out an e-mail saying we could get these free for all the daughters of deployed soldiers! How cool is that! Its a campaign that the website http://www.enchantedtutus.com/ started. Their goal is to have every little girl wear one when her daddy comes home! Now we just need something like that for the boys. They may have something I just dont know about it. Anyways, I dont know when we will get them in the mail but I have my order in for two of them!! Cant wait to see the girls in them.

I changed the names of our kittens to something easier for the girls to say. They are now Libby and Star. They are very good cats. Libby is sitting in my lap right now trying to get away from my crazy children! lol At night they have alot more fun cause the girls are in bed and they have a little more freedom! They have learned to climb up my pant legs though, so we are going to have to stop that one!!!!

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Today I took Constance to see the Ear, Nose, and Throught dr. about her tongue. You can kinda tell in the picture here. When she sticks her tongue out it pulls in the middle where the flap of skin comes up too far to the tip of the tongue. He said she had a severe case of it. So her surgery date is the 2nd of July. He told me they would give her some laughing gas. Or as he said to her, he would give her some "giggling gas"! lol Anyways, I can go back with her til the get her to sleep, and then I have to leave the room when they cut it, then I get to go back in. He said I would be away from her for a matter of a minute maybe. So that makes me feel much better. I know this isnt a big deal, and he said there is no risk at all, but I am still nervous about it! I hate to have to see my baby in the hands of surgeons. Im sure they are good at thier jobs, but still. Oh well at least this is going to help her out alot in her speech, and she will be able to stick her tongue out. In the pic it shows how far it will come out. Thats it!

Today is mine and Davids 4th anniversary!!!! These last 4 years have been good and trying at the same time. With him being gone for half of that time it gets hard. But its so worth it for the time we do have together. We live for those moments. He didnt get to call today, but I knew he wouldnt. When you read this hon, I just wanted to say I love you lots!!!! Miss you bunches and hope you are staying safe! Maybe one of our anniversarys we will get to spend together. We never have yet! And he will be gone for the next one as well! So maybe the 6th one we can be in the same country and state! lol We are keeping our fingers crossed!

18 Months!

Miss Ivy is now 18 months old! She is not so much a baby anymore. She sleeps in her big girl bed perfectly. Ive had no problems with her not wanting to sleep in it. She is talking more and more every day. Cant always understand it in all the jibber jabber, but she is trying. She is such a good little girl. She does have a bad temper though. If she doesnt get her way, look out! lol It doesnt come out that often though. It wont be long and she will be turning 2. This just blows my mind. My babies are growing up way too fast!

We had a fun birthday weekend. Friday we didnt get to go to the zoo like we wanted because it rained all day, but we still went shopping. Then Saturday was Constance's birthday party. We had alot of fun and the kids got to swim in thier pool. Constance got alot of fun presents(not too many toys!!) She got more today from my dad and grandparents. We went over there for lunch and then more cake and ice cream. Im kinda getting tired of the sweets right now! lol

Today Kristen(Derricks girlfriend) brought the girls two kittens. They are too cute. They are both orange and white, and both are girls. They will be going to the vet when they are a little older to be fixed. We dont need more babies around here! Anyways, we named them Liberty and Justice. David is really outnumbered by girls now! five to one! Oh well! Here are a few pics from our weekend.

Busy week

Constance's Angel Pics
Ivy's Angel pics
Constance's new big girl bed

We have been having a busy week around here. Yesterday and today we went out to where my grandparents are camping and just hung out for the day. It was nice to be outside like that and just let the girls play. They played at the play ground alot too, and at one point we found a tiny little frog that jumped out of my hand and attatched itself to Ivys forehead! lol

Tomorrow we are going birthday shopping. I havent gotten Constances birthday presents yet, so that is what we are off to do. Then friday we will go do a little more shopping for her party the next day and then go to lunch and the zoo with Aunt Gina and Rachel. That should be a fun girls day out.

Next week is my moms lapband surgery. She just measured to see if she has lost any inches yet on her liquid diet and she has already lost 5 inches. That is so awsome. This is going to be a hugh life change for her. We are all excited for her.

I am adding some pics of the scrap pages I did the other night.
Ive been kinda lazy the last few days and didnt feel like blogging, but here they are. Have a good night everyone!

We have success!!!!

Ivys new bed
Ivy going to bed
Sleeping Beauty!
Constance Alexandra

Ivys first night in her big girl bed is going very well. I let her stay up until she told me she wanted to go to bed. This means she grabs my finger and takes me to her room. That always means she is ready for bed. So I got her all ready and settled in and she went right to sleep. Im glad it went ok. I think it helped that she got to play on her new bed today. That way it wasnt a total shock when i put her in bed. Hopefully it keeps going well, but Im pretty sure she will do fine with it.

After I got her to bed, and Constance too, my mom and I watched I Am Legand. Not at all what I expected. I had no idea it was a scary movie. I usually dont have a problem with scary movies, but I was a little disturbed by this one. lol After it ended my mom and I were sitting there in silence and then she said "I really dont know what to say about that!" LOL I was like I dont either, and then we both started laughing! It was strange. Im not sure if I liked it or not. Im kinda in the middle I think.

I added a pic of Constance I took today that I thought turned out really good. She is just growing so fast. My baby is going to be three next week. I dont know whether to cry or say Yay!

Big Girl Bed

Well we just took Ivys crib apart. It was in bad shape, so we got her a big girl bed and she is going to sleep in it starting tonight. We had to get rid of her crib, one side was falling apart and it was getting dangerous. It will be better this way anyways so I cant throw in the towel and just stick her back in her crib if she doesnt take to the new bed right away. I will take pics tonight before she goes to bed and after she falls asleep. Wish us luck. Constance did very well with her transition to her big girl bed and she was only 16 months old. We had to switch her early since Ivy was due not long after that! Ivy will be 18 months next week, so I think its good timing. Constance was teaching her how to climb in and out of it anyways. I didnt want her to have any falls, so that just comfirmed for me that the time is right.

Tonight my mom and I are going to watch I Am Legand, and scrapbook. We both said we were in the mood to do it so we are going to get everything out after the girls are in bed. I will post some pages we do as well.

Computer Game

When David was home we bought Constance a new computer game for her birthday. We already gave it to her because we were not sure if it would work on our computer since we have Vista. It did and she loves to play it. It good at teaching her how to work the mouse and hand eye coordination. She hasnt mastered that part yet. She just moves the mouse around everywhere and clicks alot til she hits something! lol Here are a few pics of her playing.

Also Ivy learned to say "Whats that?" today. That is all she has been saying! She points at everything and says it. Its very cute. They are both growing up so fast. I no longer have babies! Kinda sad in a way, but exciting to see the people they will turn out to be.

This next two weeks is going to be very busy for us. Well this weekend we are doing nothing. And I mean nothing. Monday is Davids birthday. He will be 24. Then tuesday the girls and I are going with my grandparents to a camp ground not too far away. We wont stay the night, but I thought it would be fun to go for the day with them. Then Friday is mine and Constances birthday. I will be 23 and she will be 3. We are going shopping in the morning and then to the zoo with Gina and Rachel that afternoon. That should be a pretty fun day. Then Saturday we are having Constance a birthday party. That is what we are shopping for on friday. Sunday we are having her another birthday party for my dads side of the family. Lets see, then the next wednesday my mom has her lapband surgery. She is very excited and I am very excited for her! So the two of us will be at the hospital for a big part of the day. Then thurday Constance has her dr. appt for her tongue. And it is also mine and Davids anniversary! Four years baby! Too bad we arent together. We have never spent an anniversary together. Ever, and the next one we wont be together either. He will be gone for EOD school. ~sigh~ Oh well, maybe for our sixth anniversary we can be together. Keep your fingers crossed! lol So that is our next two weeks. Very busy, but good busy. Ok I am going to stop rambling now and start dinner soon.

He's gone

Well David is gone now. He left yesterday morning at 11. It was a very hard day. We really got connected again as a family just to have it stop for awhile again. Not fun. Constance has been asking me where her Daddy is since he left. Thats the hard part. She doesnt understand. Ivy seems to be doing ok. I havent noticed any changes in her. Today we went to lunch with my grandma just to get out of the house. That sounded better than moping around wishing he was here and getting all depressed. I posted some pics of yesterday morning before he left.

Here are some more pics of our time with David. He will be leaving soon, and I am so not looking forward to that moment so I am not even going to talk about it right now. I am just going to let myself be in the denial stage at this moment. So anyways, we have been having a great time. Doing a lot of running, but not so much to where we are burnt out. We had some family pics done and some pics for Constances 3rd birthday as well. As soon as I get them ordered and in the mail I will post some. I cant wait to see them. Tomorrow is our last whole day together so we are taking the girls to the zoo. We thought that would be a fun family outing to do on our last day. I will post more after he leaves. :(
